Pet friendly accommodation in the heart of Durbanville
When seeking pet friendly accommodation in Durbanville, guests might find that most establishments do not welcome pets. This makes it difficult for people with pets to go away for the weekend, or to go on holiday, since you need to find reliable pet sitters, etc. At Rondekuil Estates we welcome all kinds of pets with open hearts! As long as guests make arrangements with us prior to their stay, you are more than welcome to bring your dogs, cats, or even birds, along.
Our pet friendly accommodation options include:
The Rondawel comfortably sleeps six and offers a main bedroom, with an en-suite bathroom, and two more bedrooms, which share a family bathroom. The open plan kitchen, lounge and dining room area, along with a recreation room on the mezzanine floor provide adequate, comfortable space for entertainment. The kitchen is well equipped for a comfortable stay.
The large garden surrounding the Rondawel, is fully enclosed and offers shaded areas so pets can be allowed to play or exercise safely. These units are ideal for the larger, more active dogs who enjoy a romp around the garden.
Old Farm House
The Old Farm House has been divided into three separate, comfortable accommodation units, each with a double bedroom, a lounge-cum-dining room, its own kitchen and bathroom. These units are usually let out on a medium-to long-term basis, but are periodically available for short-term lets.
Each unit has its own entrance and, being an original old farm house, the rooms are large and the walls relatively thick, ensuring privacy and pleasant room temperatures. The house has plenty of old-world charm and character and offers access to verandas and gardens, which are nice for relaxing and entertaining. Each unit has a double bedroom, but there is ample space to accommodate additional beds, if required.
The units are pet friendly, with suitably enclosed gardens and grassed areas to keep your pets comfortable and safe.
Country Lodge offers various units, differing in size and layout. Most units offer a large double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, and an open-plan kitchen-lounge-dining room. From the veranda, there are lovely views of the countryside and Table Mountain in the distance. With enclosed gardens, these units are perfect for hosting and entertaining most pets.
Our Leeulaagte Cottages sleep four each, while both bedrooms in each cottage, have en-suite bathrooms. The kitchenettes have granite working surfaces and are adequately equipped. Each cottage offers reed ceilings and a front veranda where guests can relax in an easy chair and enjoy stunning views while overlooking the pool, dam, a landscaped garden, farmlands and the river area.
Our cottages do not have enclosed gardens, but there is an enclosed garden area with a gate, behind Cottage No.2. With a high fence enclosing the area, most dogs can be contained here. These cottages are ideal for couples who travel with their relatively subdued pets as companions.
If you have any questions about bringing your pet along, do not hesitate to contact us by phone or email. We look forward to meeting you and your beloved pets soon!

To make sure that guests understand the rules and regulations concerning the pet friendly accommodation offered by Rondekuil, please take the time to read the policy and warning below:
All dogs, cats, caged birds and any other well-behaved pets are welcome all year round. If pets sleep inside – please bring own pet beds and bowls. Pets are NOT permitted on the beds and furniture and pets must be free of ticks and fleas upon arrival. There is easy access to walkways from all the accommodation units. Dogs must be leashed at all times when outside, or not contained in the enclosed areas surrounding the accommodation units.
There are rabbits that roam freely around the main yard/werf of the farm and guests need to ensure that their dogs do not chase/interfere with these relatively tame rabbits. Guests must clean up after their pets. Consideration must be given to resident dogs, cats, and other farm animals. Pets stay FREE. No doggie damages deposit required.
Rondekuil is a farm and, like many areas in the Cape at certain times of the year, ticks and snakes are to be found, especially in areas where the grass is long. It is therefore essential that pets are treated for ticks after their visit to Rondekuil, and that clients understand that we cannot be held responsible for any illnesses caused by bites from any insect or reptile.
